The principals of HARTA CAPITAL have been active in the area of shipping finance for over 20 years.
Our team has arranged shipping loans to several Greek and international shipowners / managers, while its experience covers equity, financing, sale & purchase, portfolio workouts and evaluations and general advisory mandates.
Harris Takakis
Founding Partner
Harris is the founder of HARTA Capital and he is co-founder and partner of E. Takakis &
Associates Law Firm.
He has worked in the past with major shipping law firms in Piraeus and London for more
than 10 years, has served as legal manager at a major Greek shipping company for more
than 11 years and has advised several shipping companies on their financing projects as
well as traditional banks and PE funds.
His fields of expertise are Maritime, Corporate, Banking and Commercial law, and has
extensive experience of over 20 years in projects relating to ship financing, commercial
contracts, joint ventures and corporate structures, capital markets and IPOs.
He is graduate of Thessaloniki Law School (1996), with post-graduate studies in London
(LL.M., London Guildhall University, 1998).
